Professional Long Island couple seeks an energetic full-time (Mon-Fri, 8:15-6:15pm) loving, caring and EXPERIENCED Nanny to care for our two children (3 year old and 3 month old) in our Wantagh home. Experience with newborns is a necessity.
The Nanny will be responsible for the preparation of healthy meals and snacks for the children, bathing, diapering and playtime activities. We are not looking for a housekeeper, however, cleaning up after the children, general household tidiness and the children’s laundry is required.
It is important that the Nanny teach our children early childhood skills and maintain an active lifestyle for them, instead of allowing them to watch television or sleep all day.
Candidates must provide excellent references, speak English, have experience with newborns (3 month old), have a valid driver’s license, and provide her own transportation. Only non-smokers please. A complete and thorough background check will be performed at our expense.
We seek a long-term commitment and intend to make the Nanny part of our family. In turn, we ask that the Nanny care for our children as she would her own.

Daily Responsibilities Include:
Maintaining active lifestyle, including inside/outside playtime
Fun and educational activities such as puzzles, flash cards and crafts
Teaching early developmental skills
Preparation and feeding healthy meals and snacks
Bathing children
Children’s housekeeping
Children’s laundry
Salary is based on experience from $1,600 to $2,000 a month based on a Monday through Friday, 8:15am to 6:15pm schedule. We will also include 3 paid sick days per year and 10 paid major holidays (holiday dates to be provided at interview). All terms are negotiable based on experience and/or education.
