Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory is a world-renowned research and educational institution with programs in cancer, neuroscience, plant biology, genomics and bioinformatics. The Laboratory is recognized internationally for its excellence in research and educational activities.
We are presently seeking a Researcher, Writer for Proposal Development for a multi-year project.
The candidate will work in collaboration with the project's leaders to:
• Assist in developing the mission and goals of the project.
• Conduct a comprehensive survey of national and international materials related to the project.
• Identify public, foundation and corpororate sources of funding for a multi-year project.
• Prepare and submit a comprehensive grant proposal for funding.
Position Requirements:
The candidate should exhibit high level writing skills ; be able to work independently and have experience in successful grant writing.
A Masters or Ph.D. degree is required, preferably in the life sciences although other areas of scholarly experience may be appropriate.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are required. Experience in conducting interviews would be a plus.
