In pursuit of Liberal Arts- a most unusual road trip (NY)

My name is Don living in Beaverton, Or. I'm seriously considering a road trip INSIDE NY State (Amtracking it to NYC), renting a car, and visiting various small colleges from the list below. Scheduling a late April departure from Portland. I am looking for a person interested in accompanying me and who would contribute partially to the expenses- splitting hotel costs and paying 40% for gas. I'm not looking for a 50% split overall, just looking to lessen the financial burden. You need not stay the entire trip but I prefer you to pursue at least half the traveling.
