Hello. I bought two doves that are a bonded pair. I didn't knoW!!!!! One week after they came here they layed 2 eggs. One on my fake plant, and another in a bowl I set up for them. Two weeks later only one hatched and there was 3.....a couple of days later she layed 2 more eggs. They both hatched and now I have 5.... they layed 2 more eggs!!!! I have someone to take the 2nd brood, because they can now eat on their own, but come on, this is ridiculous!!!! I can't get myself to remove the eggs like people say I am supposed to do and discard them. I just can't do that. I feel horrible. Would anyone be interested in buying the babies that she has once they stop feeding from the parents going forward? I let them fly free in my house. I only put them in their cage when I am not home. I have too many birds!!!! I have a green wing macaw, 2 sun conures and 6 parakeets. These doves won't stop laying eggs!!!! They are wonderful birds, so friendly and easy to take care of. Please call if you are interested. Help!!!!

update: I now have 17 Doves. I let them out at night to fly around and even if I keep the males and females separated, it is a freak show when I let them out!!!! Also my parakeets are getting frisky as well as the conures. You may be seeing another post about conures and parakeets soon!!!!! lol.
