Grigor Law Group is a high-volume New York personal injury firm seeking an experienced Medical Paralegal/ Case Manager with a strong understanding of medical timelines, No-Fault insurance, IMEs, and client education in motor vehicle accident cases. This is not an entry-level role. We are looking for someone who understands how personal injury cases actually move, stays ahead of deadlines, and communicates confidently with injured clients so cases progress efficiently, ethically, and with strong client satisfaction.
DUTIES:
Manage medical treatment timelines from intake forward in vehicle (MVA) & injury cases
Obtain policy limits for all potential defendants.
Track MRIs, MRI results, specialist visits, and follow-up care
Maintain accurate, organized medical records and evidence
Clearly explain the insurance process & treatment timelines to help ensure medically necessary treatment occurs within coverage periods
Track all scheduled/calendared Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs) for your assigned clients
Proactively contact clients before IMEs to explain:
What an IME is
Why insurers schedule them
How IMEs may impact treatment authorization and payment
Serve as a primary point of contact for medical-related client questions & case updates
Coordinate with medical providers regarding MRI findings and next steps
Reinforce appointment attendance/ discuss follow-up care when physicians recommend injections, procedures, or additional treatment & compliance with physician recommendations
Maintain ethical and factual communication at all times

Minimum 2 years of experience in:
A personal injury law firm or
A No-Fault medical office handling MVA claims
Strong working knowledge of:
No-Fault insurance
Medical timelines in PI cases
IMEs and their role in claims handling
Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
Strong phone presence and client-facing communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SmartAdvocate
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Organized, deadline-driven, and able to multitask
Discretion, confidentiality, and the ability to handle sensitive information
