Ciuffo Cabinetry is seeking an experienced Millwork Project Manager to join our team in Bayport, New York.
This is a high-level, client-facing role within a luxury custom millwork and cabinetry manufacturing environment. We are looking for a project professional who can manage projects from design interpretation through execution, communicate effectively with clients and trade professionals, and produce technically sound drawings that align with field conditions, engineering requirements, and manufacturing realities.
Position Overview
Our Project Managers guide projects through multiple phases of development and execution. Depending on the project, this may include drafting, field verification, engineering coordination, takeoffs, specifications, shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, approvals, and production handoff. This role requires a professional who can draft, coordinate, and manage with confidence.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage custom cabinetry and millwork projects from design intent, architectural plans, partially developed concepts, or existing drawings
• Meet with and communicate professionally with clients, architects, interior designers, builders, vendors, and internal departments as assigned, based on training and demonstrated readiness
• Prepare project drawings, revisions, submittals, RFIs, and related documentation as required
• Draft detailed plans in AutoCAD for client review, internal coordination, and production use
• Interpret design intent and translate it into technically sound, buildable millwork solutions
• Assist with engineering coordination, shop drawings, takeoffs, specifications, submittals, and related project documentation
• Review layouts, dimensions, specifications, field conditions, hardware, specialty items, and related project details for accuracy
• Coordinate with production, drafting, purchasing, and management teams to move projects forward accurately and efficiently
• Visit job sites for meetings, field coordination, verification, and measuring when required
• Oversee projects through delivery and installation follow-up as needed
• Maintain strong organization, communication, and follow-through across all phases of the job
Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in custom cabinetry, millwork, residential construction, project management, or a closely related field a must
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel
• Experience with Bluebeam preferred
• Familiarity with rendering, SketchUp, or other 3D programs is a plus
• Revit and Inventor are a plus, but not required
• Strong understanding of drawing layout, dimensioning, detailing, millwork construction, fabrication constraints, and field conditions
• Experience with takeoffs, specifications, shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and change orders strongly preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Professional judgment, polish, and maturity in client-facing situations
• Valid driver’s license
Work Environment / Expectations
• Full-time, in-office position based in Bayport, NY
• Start time: 7:00 AM
• Local and regional job site travel required, primarily throughout the Tri-State area
• Additional travel may be required depending on project location
• Additional hours, including nights and weekends, may be required based on project deadlines and deliverables
Compensation & Benefits
• $95,000–$130,000 salary, contingent upon reviewed skill set/experience level
