This banjo is basically an unplayed “Time Capsule” from the early 70s. It has the original branded banjo head, the original bridge and fret wear; it is non-existent. It also comes with the original case. This instrument is made in West Germany. It's not your typical Asian-made junk.
The fit and finish of this banjo is exquisite and owning it will be a true pleasure. It has a very distinctive sound and projects loudly, with great sustain.
The banjo has been reintroduced into a lot of Rock music as well as Folk music. The 5-string banjo is relatively easy to play because it is tuned in an open G chord. You can also tune it in what they call Chicago tuning, which is really the same as the first four strings of a guitar. This makes it relatively easy for any guitar player to quickly adapt to this instrument.
