Beatles Band with an impressive and busy schedule looking for a Bass player that sings.
We cover the entire region of Nassau and Suffolk county.
When singing, you don't need to sound like Paul, we have that covered.
Now before we go on, I'd like to point out some cool things:
* We are not a "soft-mellow" band, and we are not a "tribute" band.
* We play many of the Beatles's high-energy songs that get a crowd dancing!
* We perform a lot of the group's earlier, rockin' blues songs that many people don't realize they played, but are instantly catchy and great. Songs like "I'm Down", "Bad Boy", "Money", and tons more. If you are not familiar with these songs, have a listen.
* We play at a slightly faster tempo than the Beatles (to get people dancing) and we play with a little more edge and attitude
* We don't wear wigs, fake mustaches, or Beatle outfits.
* We don't perform slow, boring songs such as "Yesterday" or "Michelle", however we do read the audience and in the rare instance when they respond better to slower Beatles songs, such as "In My Life" we will change songs on the fly. We realize it takes time to learn many of the Beatles songs, so we will be very patient and understanding, as our new bass player learns many of the popular Beatles songs. (and electronic pads are fine to use).
So yes, we are a little different than a Beatles tribute band, however, we greatly respect the Beatles music, and try very hard to make our performances sound like Beatles music (another words, when we play Come Together, it sounds like the Beatles version, not Aerosmith's).
You will need to sing harmonies and a few lead songs, (or more than a few lead songs if you wish).
We are, and will still be, a four piece band once the new member is on board.
We're looking for someone who is professional, has a great attitude, and has the time and availability to be in a busy gigging band (around five gigs per month, sometimes more in the Summer). We're phone and ipad friendly, so such a device can be used if needed.
