The Jasman Command Force Chopper Patrol series are a highly collectible, vintage battery-operated toy from the early 2000's featuring a tethered flying helicopter. It is a modernized remake of the classic 1970's Mattel "VertiBird", allowing players to pilot a real flying helicopter around a central base using a dual-lever control system for throttle and pitch.
Features & Mechanics:
• Tethered Flight System: The helicopter is physically attached to a central arm on a 12 inch long base powered by 4 "AA" batteries, rotating in a circle as it achieves actual motorized lift.
• Dual-Lever Controls: Pilots use one lever to manage rotor throttle (speed/altitude) and a second lever to change pitch (forward and backward movement).
• Interactive Missions: The chopper is equipped with a hook system designed to pick up, transport, and drop off cargo boxes.
• Market Availability: Because Jasman stopped manufacturing these sets around 2006, they are considered rare collectibles today.
