Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Low-Voltage Technician based in Bethpage, NY.
The technician will be responsible for installing and supporting structured cabling, CCTV systems, access control, and related low-voltage infrastructure. Work will include a mix of active job sites and after-hours projects, depending on scope.
This role requires someone who can work independently, maintain clean and organized installs, and help keep projects moving efficiently.
Responsibilities:
• Installation of Cat6 / Cat6A cabling and fiber optic systems
• CCTV camera installation, setup, and troubleshooting
• Access control installation (maglocks, strikes, door hardware)
• Rack buildouts, terminations, labeling, and testing
• Working in active environments, including after-hours schedules when required
• Coordinating with team members and other trades on site
Qualifications:
• Experience in low-voltage installation (structured cabling, security, AV, etc.)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and clean workmanship
• Experience working on construction sites
• Comfortable working on ladders and active job sites
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred (but not required):
• OSHA 30 or SST card
• Experience with access control systems (SALTO, Keyscan, Honeywell, etc.)
• Experience with CCTV/NVR setup and programming
• Fiber termination experience
• Experience working in school or occupied environments
