New precision prototype for super accurate cutting of single piece or stacks of veneer, plastic sheet, non ferrous sheet, etc.(approx. 8' capacity)
Two air pistons clamp solid phenolic jaws onto material whilst a manual worm drive saw with special sub base travels on machined track with low friction uhmw poly guides to cut stack. May be followed with special offset router to refine cut. Tests on 1/16" veneer walnut stacks demonstrated perfect cuts w/o need for router trim. Saw equipped with super thin Japanese 4 1/2" sawblade. Top clamping caul has unique high strength tensioning rod with thrust bearings to create slight bow in caul so it makes tight contact along length. Tested with numerous individual playing cards along length and they could not be pulled out. Fold down rear stock support shelf. Aluminum track extrusion with roller hanger on standoffs to allow movement of user's vac hose along length (not shown) Portable( ie 2 men) to be placed on workhorses setup on castered stand(by end user)
A stationery industrial veneer saw with trim head that does same thing can be +/- 20-25K
