This is a vintage highway torch used at construction sites before the battery lights.
I remember seeing them when I was about 10 (I'm 76 now) when they were putting in sewers in Valley Stream
This is in perfect condition, no dents, complete and usable wick.
They were usually painted black or red.
Best of all Made In the USA
