This micrometer eliminates the minute errors caused in any instrument when measuring at varying thicknesses.
The lever activated upper anvil descends by gravity (dead weight) and will have uniform surface pressure at any given point of travel, from .0005" to a full 1/2" thickness. New they cost around $1,200
